Domaine des Pins, New team, New wines
The Domaine des Pins, an independent winegrower member, was taken over in 2016 by the Polosse family, of which Regis, the father, is an entrepreneur in Villefranche sur Saône, Sandra Escot consultant oenologist consultant and Joseph de Sonis co-manager and operator. A crush on this historic area of the Saint Amour appellation and a desire to write a new story and enhance this beautiful terroir.
The whole team is committed to producing wines with passion and authenticity.
2017 was the year of investments: air conditioning, temperature control, press, plots taken over some of the most beautiful terroirs of the appellation allowed us more precise vinification and the creation of new vintages without renouncing the principles that have always makes the reputation of the Estate: respect for the terroirs and natural rhythms, minimal and reasoned interventions in the vineyard as in the cellar, patience, respect for the identity and the style of historic wine of the Estate.
In 2018, the result was there: the medals and ratings reward our wines a little more and encourage us to continue on the same path.
2019 the team is expanding in the vineyard with the arrival of Emilie and is structured to meet commercial needs.
The end of the year ended with HVE level 3 certification, proof of our environmental commitment.
Saint-Amour, the most Burgundian of Beaujolais wines.
The northernmost of the Crus is located entirely in Burgundy, south of Mâcon in the department of Saône-et-Loire. In a superb landscape of hills, leaning against the foothills of the Massif Central, looking at the Alps on the horizon, around fifty winegrowers passionately produce this confidential Cru over 320 ha.
